Jaime Luis Roman-Pavajeau, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with his own private practice in Katy, Texas. His goal is to provide exemplary care to individuals living in Greater Houston and the surrounding areas .
Dr. Roman-Pavajeau completed his undergraduate studies at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia in 1984. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidad del Norte in 1989, where he graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Roman-Pavajeau then went on to complete his internship at Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. He graduated as a general and vascular surgeon at Hospital Militar Central – Universidad Nueva Granada in Bogota, Colombia. He also trained at Baylor College of Medicine in general surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
Committed to staying up to date with the latest advances in the field, Dr. Roman-Pavajeau is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Michael DeBakey Surgical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the Hispanic Medical Association, and the Cardiothoracic Surgery Network.
As an active member of the medical community, Dr. Roman-Pavajeau has contributed to numerous research projects and publications.
Among his patients, Dr. Roman-Pavajeau has developed a reputation for being a skilled clinician with a remarkable bedside manner. To better serve more patients, he is fluent in both English and Spanish. When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Roman-Pavajeau enjoys sports, reading, and traveling.
